Calmen is an auditive self-portrait of Jussi Vento, sound artist/composer from Helsinki. Calmen refuses to be set under any specific music category - the main point lies somewhere else. This music has more to do with space and the concept of space. This space could be
described with memories and mental images, and all the little things and objects in life. It is built musically on acoustic and electronic elements. Calmen's composing process is based on intuition and free play, in an effort to free oneself from the limitations of concepts and categories.
